Our services

Everything we do here, and what we do not.

A family clinic in Garland, Texas, open seven days a week with no appointment needed. These are the six areas handled here, the three prices that are published, and the list of what we send elsewhere, so you know whether to come before you spend the trip.

01The scope

What the clinic does all six areas

A family doctor and a lab in the same building. Three of the six have a page of their own, with the price and the detail on it; the other three are read here and nowhere else.

  • Primary care & illness

What you have been dragging around for weeks and what started last night. It is the way into most of the rest of this page, and the only one of the six with a fixed price.

    • Acute and chronic illness
    • Type 1 and type 2 diabetes
    • High blood pressure
    • Electrocardiogram
    • Thyroid, cholesterol and lungs
    • Anemia
    • Asthma and allergies
    • Common skin conditions
    • STDs and sexual health
    • Obesity and weight management
    • Basic gastroenterology
  • Women’s health

What a family doctor does, and no further. The clinic has no gynaecologist: if your case needs one you hear it at the first visit and we refer you to a women's centre. Better that than three trips to find out.

    • Pap smear
    • HPV test
    • Breast exam
    • Vaginal infections
    • Family planning
  • Lab and testing

Blood is drawn here and the result comes out of the same building, much of it the same day. No second appointment somewhere else and no second needle.

    • Glucose
    • COVID antigen / PCR
    • Hemoglobin A1c
    • Influenza
    • Strep A
    • Helicobacter pylori
    • Tuberculosis (QuantiFERON)
    • Metabolic panel
    • Lipid profile
    • Hormone panel
    • CBC
    • Thyroid
    • Arthritis
    • Prostate
    • Vitamins
    • Urine / culture
    • Pregnancy test
    • DOT physical
    • HPV
  • Procedures & minor emergencies

What does not need an emergency room: stitched, drained, dressed, and you go home. IV drips belong to this area and have a page of their own, with the price on it.

    • Minor sutures
    • Abscess drainage
    • Ingrown nail removal
    • Wart removal
    • Wound care
    • Foreign body removal
    • Ear irrigation
    • DTaP
    • Injectable vitamins
    • IV vitamin therapy
  • Prevention & immunizations

Two vaccines, and they are exactly the two you see listed. The clinic does not run the full childhood immunisation schedule, and we say so before you drive over for it.

    • Flu vaccine (Afluria)
    • DTaP (diphtheria, tetanus and pertussis)
  • Special exams / DOT

The exam a commercial driver needs to renew a medical card. It is the one of the six where the hours are the argument: it runs evenings and Sundays too.

    • DOT physical
    • Electrocardiogram
    • Lab work

02The limits

What the clinic does not do and where we send you

No clinic does everything, and the ones that do not say so tell you in the waiting room. This is written so you do not waste the trip.

Do you do X-rays, ultrasounds or MRI scans?
Not here. If your case needs one you leave knowing what to ask for and where, but the machine is somewhere else.
Do you have a gynaecologist?
No. The clinic no longer has one. What a family doctor does still happens here — check-up, screening, contraception — and what needs a specialist is referred to a women's centre, and we tell you which one.
Can I come in with a serious emergency?
No. Bleeding, choking or chest pain is an emergency room, not a clinic: go straight there and do not spend time on us. For what does not need an emergency room we are here, and without an appointment.
Can a child have an IV drip?
No. Drips are eighteen and over only, no exceptions. The clinic does see children from the age of 4, and the two are not the same thing: worth knowing before you bring one in.
What if I cannot afford it?
Say so when you arrive. There are free clinics in Dallas County and the income limit to qualify is higher than most people assume. If you think you qualify, we tell you which ones. We would rather that than you going nowhere.

03The prices

What it costs and where the detail is

Three published prices. It is not everything a visit can cost, but it is everything that can be said without seeing you first.

Anything not on this list has a price too, and you hear it before it happens. Nothing gets done here without you agreeing to it first.
